How to Reach us and Mobility in the Town:

  • BY CAR: Modena can be reached by car via the A1 and A22 motorways. The recommended exit is “Modena Sud” on the A1. From there, follow the signs for Modena along Via Vignolese. When you reach the roundabout that crosses the tangenziale (easily recognizable by the “big grape” monument), take the second exit and continue on Via Vignolese. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Via Campi. You will see the university campus on your right. Continue straight until the third traffic light, then turn right again — there is a parking area nearby.

  • BY TRAIN: Modena station is easily reached by regional, intercity, and high-speed trains from cities such as Bologna, Milan, Florence, and Rome (www.trenitalia.com, www.italotreno.it)

  • BY PLANE: Closest Airports are:
    1. Aereoporto G. Marconi di Bologna (Link): direct transfer to Modena with AerBus (bus stop closest to campus is: Modena Vignolese, 5 min walking distance)
    2. Aereoporto Catullo di Verona (Link)
    3. Aereoporto di Parma (Link)

  • Town mobility: The train station and bus station are just a five-minute walk apart. Bus number 7 connects the train/bus stations with both the city center and the Department. More information about local bus services is available on SETA MO
